Reflection questions:
In your own words, describe how Jesus’ resurrection bring new creation?
In verse 16, Paul says that he no longer views people from “a human point of view” or “according to the flesh.” He is describing a change in perspective. A shift is taking place from the old world, the old creation into the new world, the new creation. How does this truth shape your reality today? How does resurrection hope impact your present life? How does it affect how you view people?
In 2 Cor. 5:17, Paul describes people who are “in Christ” as a “new creation.” What does it mean to be “in Christ?” What does it look like to be a “new creation?”
How can you be a minister of reconciliation? List out some practical ways in which you might be able to lead people to Christ.
Describe the work of God in Christ. How has this work been effective in your life?
This week, look for 1-1-1 opportunities: 1 thought-1 word-1 act. Spend time reflecting (1 thought) on new creation through Jesus. Share your thought (1 word) with at least one person (whether they are Christian or not). Do one thing (1 act) that demonstrates response or gratitude for God’s good news.
